Birthday Cake

Today is my birthday and, for the first time ever, husband said he would make me a cake. I gave him a foolproof recipe for a Victoria Sponge, I gave daughter my cake decorating stuff including ready roll icing and cutters and left them to it.

And here's the result:

Best Birthday Cake EVER!!

All I can say is wow. My hubby would never EVER attempt to make a cake for me. He did go with me to see the new Sarah Jessica Parker film though. Happy Birthday!

Awww, cute. Home made stuff means so much more than the fanciest cake from a posh shop doesn't it? Not saying that their cake isn't fancy, because it is!! Happy birthday!
