So here's what we did.
We had a lovely day walking at Aysgarth Falls, after buying up half of the stock of the Wensleydale Creamery ("Abbot's Bronze" is the best cheese ever!):
there was an amazing trip to The Forbidden Corner (even after two hours we hadn't managed to find all the items on the list in this weird and wonderful garden!):
Whilst walking the Masham Leaf Trail (a walk punctuated with sculptures of leaves symbolising things about the area) daughter was delighted to be joined on our walk by a few ponies who wandered across the stream to see her:
and of course, a trip to the Black Sheep Brewery, fudge from Joneva and ice cream from the Brymor Ice Cream Farm.
Guess I'll be going back on the diet now........

Looks fantastic, and fabulous value compared to Center Parcs. I'd love to go back to Yorkshire for a holiday. Last time I was there was late 80s!
What a fabulous week! just goes to show how beautiful this country is too don't you think? and as for Center parc? well I've never tried it but a cottage and days out sounds much much better....and those are lovely photos too!
Can I say we went there and there and there... and did you know I could live in the Wensleydale cheese shop (found out I can get on the web though!)
Looks as you had a fab holiday!

I've enjoyed your blog for some time now. Can't remember how I came across it! I live in the US, but like so many, I love England and its fun to see it through your eyes. I cannot tell you how magical that picture is of your daughter and the horses! Like a scene out of a movie.
