A Plum Harvest

It's plum picking time again!

So far my plum tree has yielded 12lb of lovely ripe Victorias.

In the past few days I have made 7 jars of jam, 6 jars of chutney, one plum and hazelnut cake, 72 bars of sticky plum flapjack and one delicious plum drizzle cake:

Next I'm going to try plum and almond crumble slice........

That cake looks yummy. I've got a wonderful recipe for a plum bake with cheesecake ripple if you're looking for inspiration!

Apparently I have a plum tree in my garden...news to me as it has never ever had fruit on it....so I am not at all jealous about your bumper fruit harvest....not. a. bit.

Ooh, lovely. Have plum tree laden with blue-hued fruit out here in France (no idea what type of plum unfortunately - I should look it up). Was saying to the girls just today, as we watched a jay pecking at them, that we need to pick some and make some jam - rather more successfully than last summer, I hope, when I got distracted and the whole pan-ful got boiled down to burnt caramel (the saucepan never recovered).
