It was a neighbour in his garden launching slugs out into the road!

- Working Mum
- ...lives in Manchester, UK. Has full-time job, 7 year old daughter and a football obsessed husband. Tries to maintain her sanity by singing in a renowned choir in spare time. Would like to have it all: fulfilling career, well adjusted child, perfect marriage and beautiful home. So far has achieved stressful job as teacher, demanding daughter, 18 years of marriage and an old house that "we're doing up". This is my story .......

- Mum - J - recently retired, understands plight of working mum
- Mother-in-law - Reen - stayed at home since 1966, doesn't understand plight of working mum
- Dad - Tone -still working, can't sit still, adores granddaughter
- Brother - Steve - DINK, big in IT, thinks his life is busy!
- Sister-in-law - Kay - married to Steve, high powered executive, lovely and adores Izzy

I would have been tempted to start throwing them back from behind the fence, I would have been giggling :D I got hit by a bird last Thursday. Yes a bird, poor thing flew into my head and killed itself, it hurt!
If only you could have brought yourself to fling them back....
You got me worried for a minute there...!!

Ooops! I do that with snails! Can't bring myself to touch slugs though. I do try to avoid rush hour traffic tho'!

And I thought I was the only one with a slug invasion. Here in the United States in the city of brotherly love "Philadelphia" (yeah right), I am actually having a slug invastion in my english garden that I tried to create. All of my beautiful plants are gone. I feel like a hunter at dusk as my children laugh at me when I am eagerly awaiting the invastion to spray them with an eco friendly solution which does work. However, I fought the slugs and the slugs won. Any advice on how to get rid of them. I saw a product that has microscopic worms in it and apparently they grow in your garden, infect the slugs and bye bye. I don't think it is offered in the United States. Any suggestions????
