Beware flying slugs!

Daughter and I were enjoying a walk and a chat on the way home from Brownies on Thursday evening when, all of a sudden, a slug fell from the sky and landed right in front of us.

Followed by another.

And another!

Raining slugs!

Then I realised that this was not a natural phenomenon.

It was a neighbour in his garden launching slugs out into the road!

I would have been tempted to start throwing them back from behind the fence, I would have been giggling :D I got hit by a bird last Thursday. Yes a bird, poor thing flew into my head and killed itself, it hurt!

And I thought I was the only one with a slug invasion. Here in the United States in the city of brotherly love "Philadelphia" (yeah right), I am actually having a slug invastion in my english garden that I tried to create. All of my beautiful plants are gone. I feel like a hunter at dusk as my children laugh at me when I am eagerly awaiting the invastion to spray them with an eco friendly solution which does work. However, I fought the slugs and the slugs won. Any advice on how to get rid of them. I saw a product that has microscopic worms in it and apparently they grow in your garden, infect the slugs and bye bye. I don't think it is offered in the United States. Any suggestions????
