Back, but exhausted!

We're back from Center Parcs.

And I'm exhausted.

As predicted, husband filled every minute of every day with swimming, cycling, walking, aerial ropes course, canoeing, crazy golf, quadbiking, archery, driving range, horse riding, laser combat, etc, etc.

You get the picture!

Actually, it was great fun, and we had such a good time.

What surprised me was how quickly I changed from being a caring mum saying things like:

"Are you warm enough, Izzy? Do you want your fleece?"

to running through the woods shouting

"Die Izzy, die!"

He he he!

Sounds like you had a brilliant time - and you have the rest of the summer break to relax and enjoy too!

So glad you had a great time but yes, it does sound exhausting just to read, never mind to do!

Hope you can have a bit of a relax now you're back home! x

Lorraine - I was quite apprehensive about going, but I enjoyed it and I would go back. The main drawback is that it is overpriced, but, how shall I put this ........ there were no riff raff there. Everyone was polite and well mannered and all the children we encountered were very well behaved so I guess that's what you pay for.

The activities were great fun and there were such a lot to choose from, there is something for everyone or you can go on a nice cycle ride or a nature walk instead (I did escape to the spa one afternoon for a massage - lovely).

Our lodge was a refurbished woodland lodge and was very modern, clean and comfortable - no complaints at all.

yes it is over priced but that does price the riff raff out as you mentioned working mum....sounds snobby but it's true. Having been to another well known holiday park I can certainly say I would go to Centre Parcs any day. There is something for everyone and it's great if you go alone as a small family or with extended family and friends as we have many times. I should be a Centre Parcs Rep!!!!
