Stuck in the 1950s?

Today is Fathers' Day and earlier in the week I asked husband what he would like for Sunday lunch.

"Pork chops, stuffing and those roast potatoes you do with goose fat"

No fruit, vegetables or anything vaguely light and healthy was mentioned.

Have his taste buds not entered the 21st century?

I'm surprised he didn't ask for Spotted Dick and custard for pudding!

Fathers Day is in September in Australia. But I suspect that Mr Catch will be asking for much the same. What is it about all that meat?

Sometimes only stodge will do!

I have to say that I like the look and sound of both dishes. Good luck trying to pass off the tart as a pork chop though!!!

claire - don't worry, he got the pork chops and roast potatoes, I did the tart for dessert. You don't think he'd be content with tart and salad for Sunday lunch, do you?
