I was fixing Christmas lights that had gone on the blink and replacing spent batteries and bulbs in optical deccies with new ones. I'm the odd-jobber. My dad was always hopeless too.
I have been so lax at following blogs lately but have enjoyed reading through your family antics over Christmas/New Year - thank you! Hope 2011 is fantastic for you all.
And as for the DIY ... there is always a change in attitude when hubbie starts drilling holes into the walls in our (new!) house. It appears that there are huge gaps between the plasterboard and the wall so he can never screw into the brick, much to his chagrin. The air turns blue and sharp objects are at high likelihood of being thrown... if that didn't result in more DIY to fix holes!
LOL, I married a guy who just might be your husband's brother! I definitely did not expect to be the one who chooses our home's cordless drill when I got married, but life is full of surprises!
Guess what you can often hear in my home? DH calling to me, "Sweetheart, where do you keep the hammer?"

This is my story .......
