Part 10 - Ta Dah!

The last part of our house renovation was to hang the photograph that I had put into a box four years ago and vowed not to open until it was to be rehung in the hall as the last act of renovating the house.

And that's precisely what we did two weeks ago.

Here it is:

Worth the wait.

I can't believe that the inside of the house is finally finished.

Next job - redecorate daughter's bedroom!

I must say that I enjoyed seeing all the pictures...your house should be in one of those Better Homes and Gardens magazines!

Now that we have been in our house over a year, I think it is time to start painting and putting our own touches on it. It's just that this is the first house we've owned, and so I tend to forget that we can change anything we want to!

And now I give you permission to rest!!

Absolutely fantastic. I hope ur going to celebrate in some way that doesn't involve selling up straight away like mlst pol who put years of their Ives into renovating! That red carpet was scary!

It must be great to have it all looking nice and behind you. But it sounds like the round is starting again.

Redecorate? Dare I ask why? Seems like the Forth Bridge..... never ending painting!

Love the photo of the baby art.
Maybe you have the *end of the decorating empty feeling!* Maybe if you came to my house & started here.......... that would give you a new lease of life! Ha Ha!

Being the nosy person that I am I have thoroughly enjoyed looking through your house. I love the patio doors too. And I also love your new kitchen including the American style fridge, something I would love to have.

The picture looks perfect.

Thank you for your lovely comments about my house. It was good to see it all displayed in these posts, showed me what we'd achieved.

Jacki - can't believe you just read and commented on ALL my house posts all at once - thank you for taking the time.

Scrappy Sue - NO WAY am I moving now, and I am never doing this again!!

And Maggie, yes, we are redecorating daughter's room because it was done four years ago and has suffered from felt tips, glue, mud, vomit, etc and also, Thomas the Tank Engine is a bit young for her now. Look out for the post about redoing her room. Can you guess what theme she wants this time?

I've just been playing catch-up with your blog. All I can say is YOU HAVE BEEN BUSY!

What will you do with all your spare time now?

Wow! I've just caught on my blog reader and have read all your renovation posts in one go.

My story is so similar to yours its unreal! We moved into, basically, a shell last November and I (jokingly) said I'd be happy if it was done by the following Christmas. Fast forward almost a year and we're nowhere near finished! It's driving us both mad but reading your posts has reminded me that it'll all be worth it in the end.

You have such a beautiful home now and you should be very proud of the work you've done.
