The Pink Peril

Today we had one of our Family Fun Days.

We went to the Lake District.

Primarily to buy these:

We thought that pink walking boots would encourage daughter to go walking. Proper, outdoor, on footpath not road type of walking. Something we did lots of before her arrival and would like to do again, as a family.

Of course they had to be pink.

They matched the rest of her outfit:

Notice the colour of her camera?

Anyway, after a successful walk to Stock Ghyll Falls to break in the "four wheel drive boots" as they are now called, we realised that we had ended up carrying her camera, water bottle, cardigan and waterproof!

So, it was another quick nip into Gaynor Sports to buy her her own rucksack!

The colour.............?

Well, did you think it would be anything else?

Oldest granddaughter is now completely against pink but the youngest is mad about pink and purple.
Izzy looks good in hers.

luckily for me Bel also had some boots the other day but she doesn't seem to have the pink love that Izzy has and is very happy with her black ones.

My daughter has a similar pink fetish. Then again, it does make it very easy to know what is hers and what is my son's. No, no, no ... we are not at all stereotypical... !!

K used to be pink mad and she too had pink walking boots, she seems to have grown out of it a bit now and we have purples and blues in our repertoire too!

Very cute boots. You won't lose her easily in that outfit! Is there anywhere on earth where that shade of pink appears naturally?!

Mater Familias - precisely what Andy thought! He said, "Mountain Rescue won't have any trouble finding her!"

Hi Working Mum - yes I am plagued by the oriental visitors - how do I get rid of them please?
Anyway, have been belatedly catching up with you and can't believe how big Izzy is - Grandson is six too, and very big for his age. It's all that good food we give them I guess :-) M xx

A Mother's Place is in the Wrong - lovely to hear from you again. I will pop by soon.

PS I found that the comment moderation has stopped the Japanese porn sites trying to get their links onto my site via their comments.
