Spring - a time of rebirth

I've been thinking about changing my blog template for a while now. I'm a bit fed up of the intense pink. Need a change. I fancy something light. I'd quite like one of those fancy dancy ones, but I can't be bothered with the time it would take to set it up. I'll just choose another blogger template.

Then I thought, but people won't recognise it!

Then I thought, but I want something light and airy.

Then I thought, the pink's okay, it's like my car; old fashioned, but nearly a classic.

Then I read this!

Definitely time for a change.

I decided to go for it.

I promptly changed to a nice, light template.

The same one I use for my other blog.

I like it.

For now.

Update: I've just discovered how to change the fonts and colours in your template (I never knew you could, I could have toned down the intense pink!). So I must warn you, there could be some messing about for a while until I find what I want.

Another update: I'm now trying out a paler pink. I'm definitely a pink girl at heart!

it's very .....white!!! There was nothing wrong with the pink either..don't be twisted into changing!!

I've changed my blog template a few times and nobody has ever said a thing - maybe my changes are too subtle or maybe they are too polite :0)

Happy Spring! Prehaps we should all get sopme java bunnies!

What does this say about me - I couldn't remember what colour my blog template was and had to check!!
P.S. It's very pink. Oops...

Very white!
I guess you must change to how you feel it should be.

Nuts in May

Yes I've changed mine because of that blog(too green). Now its less green and I like it I think.
I like yours too!

Ooh, it's like you spring cleaned! I am not a big fan of the pink either but I like your writing so didn't let it bother me!

yes its great, nice change.

changed my mind...this morning I would call it 'cotton' - it isn't really bright white is it. I think it's easier to read than the pink.

I like it, it's really airy and bright. i love white templates... even though mine is dark blue...go figure.

Kelloggsville - I've just discovered how to customise all the colours in your template! I'm now trying out a pale pink (I am pink girl at heart) instead of the white.

MOTL - I thought I recognised this template!

Mummy Cow - don't you have the same one as me (well, my old one) and Auntie Gwen? See? I can remember.

Maggie - I'm definitely ready for a change.

BNM - I read your comment over at Heather's. I liked your template, but did find the green a bit overpowering (a bit like the pink version I had). Nicer now.

Jen - thank you. I must admit I don't mind what other blogs look like if I enjoy reading them, but I was a bit fed up of my own!

Heather - thanks for giving me the impetus to change. I think I'll be trying out a few things before I settle on one for a while. I'm now trying different pictures in the title! Why didn't I do this ages ago?

i think it DOES make a difference how your blog looks- not so much the colour (love the new muted pink btw) - but how BUSY a blog is - if it's too busy i'm put off immediately.

mine needs an update too - everything is so different now - blogrolls seem to be a thing of the past as there are so many other ways to read blogs. i see so many blogs that use blogger that are way more user friendly and appealing than mine, but it's that magic thing called time we need too!

love the new header too

Scrappy Sue - thank you, I thought I'd try some of my cakes in the header. I agree about when a blog is too busy, I hate flashing adverts and stuff that detracts from the writing. Like magazines that have too many adverts and not enough substance. I keep coming back to saying that my blog is like the BBC......

I really really like this one. The cakes and the shade of pink, it works really well and it's not too busy. Like it xx

Hehe, this just reminded me of sitting outside a changing room whilst your friend tries on lots of different dresses for a party

Kelloggsville - I've just had tears rolling down my cheeks! Love the analogy!

I like the current colour and layout. I am a plain and pastel girl.

Cheshire Wife - yes, I think I'm liking the pale pink and marshmallow cupcakes too.

Love the pink! Very 'you' (and the cupcakes look fab).

Like the dusky pink (and the cupcakes)

I read that post by Lapland too, and thought 'I must do something about the look of my blog - it's so old and tired'. But I haven't got round to it yet.
