Stop Press!

I'm so excited!

My choir, The Manchester Chorale, have been asked to sing with Andrea Bocelli in his forthcoming tour!

The only thing is, we've been asked to do the MEN Arena on a Friday and have to be at rehearsal at 3.00pm and I'm at work then.

As you know, as a teacher I can't book time off, so I'm going to see my headmaster tomorrow to see if he'll let me have the afternoon off (I will take it without pay, if necessary!)

Watch this space!

WOW! Congratulations! I am a big fan of Andrea Bocelli - and also, I am a singer as well! I am crossing every finger and toe I have that you get the afternoon off! Congrats again on a wonderful oppurtunity!

Here's my fun singing story - The Queen (yes, THAT Queen!) was in Winnipeg and other parts of Canada for her 50th Jubilee... A group of us were asked to sing at the concert thrown for her in celebration in front of Parliament. What an experience! Afterwards, she was walking with the Mayor and her husband came up and spoke with us! One of the most exciting moments of my life!

Okay, I'll stop rambling on your blog now ;) shorter comments only from now on. HAHA!

That is so exciting, I would hope he would see it as prestigious for the school.

Wow! There is little justice in the world if he doesn't let you have the afternoon off.

As FFF said ... when is this? Can I come to?

FFF and Catharine - It's 26th November at the MEN Arena; I'm sure you can get tickets this early.

Wow! I like the idea of convincing him it will be good for the school - what an article in the school newsletter that would make!
Good luck!
