Christmas Cupcakes

Look what I did!

I made all of those!

I had so much fun today at Leah's Pantry

You may remember that I did a cupcake course there in Summer. Well, I loved it so much I booked for the Christmas cupcakes. I was not disappointed.

We made apple and cinnamon cakes, cranberry and orange cakes and mince pie cakes amongst others, but the biggest fun was the decorating. I was a whirl of icing, buttercream and sparkly edible things!

Dont' they look fab?

I especially liked this wreath (surprisingly simple to make):

And I loved making the Christmas Puddings:

I went a bit mad with the snowflake cutter:

I made this lebkuchen with red rose for hubby:

I made this penguin one for daughter:

(Yes, I made the penguin!)

And for me?

Well, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a beautifully wrapped present:

Classy and sophisticated.

Just like me!

I can't tell you how envious I am of your patience! I so could not do that and.....well, for once I am speechless!

I'm putting together those photo cards you can buy and am cursing the "fiddlyness" of them so I don't know how I'd get on with snowflake cutters and penguins!

they look gorgeous and I bet they taste even better xx

They look amazing. Have you thought of selling any at farmer's markets, to local cafes etc?

The photos look great - are you sure you can't get another framed set into your kitchen?! By the way, guess who left her recipe booklet behind at the pantry . . . Any chance you could photocopy yours for me?

Thank you for all your lovely comments about my cupcakes. I can now officially say that they have all been eaten. Guess I'll have to make some more!

Feline Dream - not too challenging, that's the beauty, they look far more difficult than they are!

Part mummy part me - I just make them as a hobby. I don't think I'd enjoy it if I made them for profit. Plus I'd have to comply with lots of regulations. If I didn't have a full time job, I may consider it, but for now it's just for fun.
