I had thought of those white tinted ones! Hope it looks good when on the walls.

Maggie - I've painted one landing and it looks beautiful in daylight and not too bad in artificial light either. It's a colour I can live with. Just another landing, the stairs and the hall left to paint!

Phew! Yay! Very pleased you've finally found the right colour. But what will you do with ALL the matchpots you now have?? Because if you're anything like me I could paint a whole room in matchpots.

You gave up on the yellow then? Probably for the best!

I guess I had better be careful what I say when I come round then! Inner gremlins suggest priming Nicholas to admire your new green paint . . .

Yay - so how many did you need to try in the end to get there ?

Brighton Mum - Having spent three years doing up this house I now have about 50 matchpots; I'm thinking of making a Jackson Pollack type canvas to commemorate the renovation of this place!

Rosie - Daffodil White is yellow! I've found one!

Mater Familias - don't you dare!

Muddling Along Mummy - tried about 20 testers and three full sized tins (of paints I thought would be right) B&Q must be laughing all the way to the bank!

And it's only Wednesday. Well done for not wasting the whole of half term on your Jackson Pollock hallway;)

Thank goodness for that!! It's sometimes more hard work trying to find the right colour than it is to do the actual painting.

You are are very brave painting the hall, stairs and landing! We got a decorator to do ours. Sometimes today there is simply too much choice! Glad you have found a shade that you are happy with.
