Have my cake and eat it!

Last post about my 40th Birthday, I promise.

Last night I went out for a meal with family and friends and at the end of the meal they brought out the cake. Look at this:

Look, it's me!

I'm in my choir uniform, singing whilst teaching maths and making cupcakes with Izzy:

Well, I am good at multitasking!

Around the edge was my garden, handbags, suitcases and flags of countries I have visited.

How fab is that?

Seemed such a shame to cut into it:

But it was lemon cake, my favourite!

Yet again, the boy did well.

The trouble is, the pressure's really on now for what I do for his 40th next year.

Any ideas?

Oh my Goodness! That is wonderful! It was a crying shame to cut it, though it would have gone mouldy in time.
How ever you could follow that? Its going to be mighty difficult. I am sure you'll find a way though!

Scrappy Sue - good suggestion, but he already has a season ticket every year. I did think of a message on the board at the match, but his birthday is July - out of season!

What a fantastic cake! Were you edible?

Very envious of your iPhone as well. Going to go and sulk in my cake-free, technologically challenged corner of the world...!

What a lovely thought and whoever made it did a good job of it. Belated Happy Birthday, by the way!!

As for your hubby's big day - what about a hot-air balloon ride or something similar in the adventure stakes- I think you can even book them through WHSmith or Argos.

Kelloggsville - something I can join in with would be better!

Catharine - yes, I am edible, but I'm not going to eat me. I'll be taking it to choir tomorrow night (along with lots of cake for everyone) to show them all.

Rosiero - I got him a helicopter flying lesson for his 30th so maybe something on the same lines for his 40th, I'll have a think.

OMG - that cake is truly amazing!! Someone loves you lots...how fab. As for his 40th - take him away somewhere - just the two of you - and then you get a treat out of it as well!
