Go figure!

So I cleaned the house from top to bottom before going back to school - stupidly forgetting that the plasterers were starting work today on the hall, stairs and landing.

Every room is now covered in a fine layer of plaster dust!

And here's a conundrum:

At work, any problems with IT have to be reported to the IT helpdesk through the on-line facility on the school intranet.

I have no intranet on my computer in my classroom.

How do I use the intranet to report that I have no intranet?

sounds like a cunning helpdesk plan to me - what a quiet day they've had! Shall try the same thing myself tomorrow ;0)

Hmmm...now that is very clever thinking from the IT department! I wonder when they'll cotton on to the fact that they may need to change tactics! And I remember that plaster dust...we moved house with a toddler and a two-week old baby and plastered every single wall and ceiling whilst living in the midst of it. Not clever thinking at all (maybe I should go and work for an IT department somewhere - think I have the brains for it)!

Hope the lack of intranet didn't cause you too much trouble in your lessons. Had nice day myself with just little daughter, but am missing the buzz of work and being part of the team really. School was bustling with life this morning and I felt a bit of a new kid on the block waiting with the other mums at 3.30 . . .

I help our school with a blog and I am amazed how poor the IT system is. And we are in the heart of the Thames Valley!

We have the same problem at work.....slightly frustrating when you need it fixed quickly.

Hope that the dust is not too hard to clean.

what do you want to bet that a fella came up with the idea of having to use the intranet to report a problem lol
