No, Gigi, I'm not kidding. The government tax everything they can think of. There is alread a tax on chocolate (value added tax), but this article talks about an extra 'obesity tax'!! This has been mooted before as a 'fat tax' added to fattening food.

As if charging more stops people eating it. Has tax stopped alcohol consumption, cake consumption, cigarette smoking?

I could scream!!!! Not just about the suggested chocolate tax, but the 'supposed' reason for it. they care about us, you see. We are poor ignorant fools who need our nannies to show us the way to a good life, so the flecking idiots bugger up our banks, spend OUR money propping them up, put US in debt till the year dot and then have to find more money,so let's pretend we care about the overwieght and the smokers, let's tax them till they squeek. Give me STRENGTH.

veri word: inershea...phonetic inertia? Guess that it is call to march on the B.....ds.

Is there any pleasure left in life that hasn't yet been taxed? Well, there's sex, I suppose. Will that be next, I wonder? ;0)

Let's (wom)man the barricades - Made of chocolate of course (well, we'll need something to keep our energy levels up!)

This is what one doctor said (to have his 15 minutes of fame, no doubt) at one conference in Scotland. Stupid.

WONI - Thank goodness the other GPs voted against it!
