Percy , percy, percy

I'm feeling much better now and so daughter and I are once again singing and dancing around the kitchen. We whirl and twirl with gay abandon, singing loudly at the tops of our voices.

We've had lots of fun with this one:

(yep, still enjoying the greatest hits of Gilbert O'Sullivan!)

but I got Duffy's album for my birthday and our favourite now is this:

the only thing is, daughter insists it's "Percy" -

I liked that, I've never heard of Duffy! Sounded good.

Never heard of Duffy, Gigi. There's clearly no small girl in your household! I prefer G O'S - but I'd forgotten all about him!

Ha, ha! Begging you for Percy... Oh dear. Now. My comment is this - who the divvel is Gilbert O'Sullivan, and is he any relation to W.S. of that ilk?

Ah, Gilbert O'Sullivan - king of easy listening in the 70s. His records seemed to feature a lot in our house.......Ooooo waka do waka day!

And now you've totally ruined a great song for me!

Actually, I think begging for Percy is far better! lol

Nice little trip down memory lane there with Gilbert. As naff as he might seem these days (and back then!) to some, he couldn't half write a decent tune. But keep that between you and I - won't you!

Pleased you are feeling better. Just when we thought that your daughter was mature beyond her years, we find that she isn't after all.

Glad you're feeling better. I don't remember Gilbert O'Sullivan looking that young!

I like Duffy, too.

Thanks for reminding about Gilbert O'Sullivan - I'll search for him on You Tube next time the kids are bored.
