Anyone else?

We were sitting in the kitchen last night eating our evening meal when I offered the following for dessert: fruit, yoghurt or fromage frais.

"I'll have a yoghurt" said husband.

I opened the fridge, "Oh, no yoghurts, sorry"

"No, yoghurts?" he asked, "but you've only just been to Tesco. What happened?"

"I get overwhelmed in the yoghurt aisle" I explained "There are too many and then I can't choose so I just leave"

"You have to put that on your blog" he said as he picked up an apple.

He is now asking all our friends if they get overwhelmed in the yoghurt aisle.

Anyone else overwhelmed in the yoghurt aisle?

I get overwhelmed in the yogurt isle. I never can remember which one I like. So, I just get anything that is vanilla, or strawberry. For the kids I just grab the trix kind. It is very sad.

YES! There are way to many choices!

Absolutely. I'm never sure, just like Echo (Hi Echo!), which kind we usually get... and then sometimes there are some on sale, but I'm not sure whether we like them or not. I tend to like it a bit sweeter, whereas Hubby likes it a bit tangy... So many choices, so much to consider.

So, yeah... You're not alone :-)

Maybe there's a sex thing going on here: I never get overwhelmed in any aisle; what I can't do is either deviate from my list or find something if they've moved it!

No, but only because there is only one brand we can buy that is gluten-free. Otherwise, then yes there would be too big of a selection.

cereal yes. yoghurt, no!

I agree, sometimes there is simply too much choice. Often the most difficult decision is working out which is the best offer.

Are you kidding me?
I get so overwhelmed in the yoghurt aisle I end up buying the lot - and my kids STILL manage to eat them all!
Those squeezy pouch-style yogs, they eat those darn things four at a time.
Credit crunch: what credit crunch!

I sometimes wish that I could get overwhelmed in any aisle but as supermarkets in Western Australia as about as big as a large local Co-op Convenience Store, I don't think that's going to happen any time soon.

Although not having much choice is good, I do occasionally wish for a really long shop around Sainsbury's again!

AND we have fresh produce that is seasonal only, for instance we haven't had grapes since June!

Well, yes. That's why I only ever buy Little Stars. I was berating myself for my lack of adventure only last night.

I get overwhelmed in lots of the aisles, not just the yoghurts.
I do have my favourite type of yoghurt though, so that helps a little.

Oh my, it's not just me then! I get so bedazzled with the choice of low fat, high fat, new improved flavour, organic, Greek, corners and fromage frais that I derail myself into the dessert part and buy mini cheesecakes or trifles.

Yes! I'm like maggie may. I get overwhelmed in every aisle. There is an embarrassment of choice and I find it exasperating, sometimes. We have all this stuff and people are starving in Africa.

I always purchase the same kind of yogurt so I usually don't have that problem. My favorite is Yoplait Thick & Creamy. I like to purchase the drinkable kind for Livy. I put it into a cup with milk and call it Yogurt Milk (not very creative, but she likes it).

There is far too much choice isn't there? And yet, I buy the same ones every week.

Btw, Dotterel - which aisle is the sex in? I must go down that one next time....

I don't really like yogurt. My mistake is that I think I'll give it another try and I buy six different flavors that sound great and get it home and not eat any of them.

Completey and utterly, hence we always seem to have petit filous !!

Not really. The boys eat one type and that's all they'll get until they decide on something different.

I used to spend hours in the catfood aisle until I bought a 10kg bag of Hills Science Diet which lasted 6 months and was all the cat ate.

I spend a bit longer in the wine section however but that is not due to bewilderment so much as greed.

Yes yes yes yes yes! There is much too much choice. I walk away and forget all about it all as it is much too stressful!

Yes. Still. It has been happening to me for years, and they just put more and more varieties in to create more confusion. Help! M :-)

Yes, yes, yes. The yoghurt aisle, and the jams/preserves aisle.

No never, and I often are warmed in that aisle - not literally - for not being conned into the brilliant deals, which usually end up in me throwing more away than eating.
