Menopause Alert

I know I'm heading for 39, but I didn't expect the menopause to come quite so early.

So I was busy painting the lounge today, desperately trying to paint the far wall before the new fireplace is fitted this Friday, and I suddenly started to feel a little warm.

"I must be going up and down these ladders too much. I'm working up a sweat" I thought.

I opened the patio doors a little further.

"I'm really feeling warm now. Never thought painting was such exercise"

I stop a for a minute and catch some fresh air.

"Need a breeze, need a breeze. "

Then a terrifying thought hits me: "Is this a hot flush?"

The door opens and plumber sticks his head round:

"I'll turn the heating off now. The new radiators are working fine"

Ah, so that was it!

Ha Ha Ha. How funny. Love how you completely jumped to the wrong conclusion! Brilliant. Pleased for you that it wasn't the start of a 20 year menopause...

Bloody hell girl 39, you would be very unfortunate!

I started at 43, slowly, building up to last year when l had the hot fluches every 7-10 minutes for 6 months...now it oly comes when l'm feeling smug and then they chase me back out of smugness!

Now its just wait and see hwat happens, or what doesnt if yu get y drift. (and l do hope ) or maybe not!LOL)

anyway, bring on the heating not the flushes!!apallingly uncomfortable for some, family have been known to state loudly in retsaurants or gathering, your face is very red Mum! or why are you staring off and breathing funny! cripes if only you knew kiddo!....phew....hot in ere innit!

I know where you are coming from. I'm 43 and whenever I get "hot" I worry. It has been thirty-eight degrees here though. Debs x

Phew! I know what you mean though. Every little symptom is no longer 'just one of those things' its something to do with your age! When did that start happening. I still feel about 22 (I'm not!)

Thank goodness you get to go through your eventual menopause in Wales, at least. Though I've heard those hot flashes come from within, and nothing, but nothing can make you feel cool until they are over!

I am SO not looking forward to this.

Ahhh yes, menopause! The things women have to suffer through. Sometimes it just doesn't seem fair. I've been completely through it for about 6 years and still have the flashes! Oh well - what can you do??? Just deal with it and go on. Most men couldn't handle it - good thing women are so strong!

There is no pleasing some people. Last week you were too cold. This week you are too hot. If only a hot flush could be switched off like the central heating. Hot flushes will start soon enough. Just pretend that you are not having them for the moment.
