Kung Fu Cinema!

Went to see "Kung Fu Panda" today. I looked it up on t'internet first, checked the times and prices - £15 for the three of us. Okay if we forgo the overpriced pick and mix.

Turned up on time, asked for tickets.

"£19.60" said the youth on the till.

"I think it's £15" I said, pointing to the prices on the board above his head.

"We changed our prices today" said youth.

"By 33%?!" I asked.

Mathematically challenged youth looked puzzled. I handed over a £20 note.

Ouch!

Did you like it?? How about your little one? I went on the recommendation of a mom that had boys. They loved it! So I took my 10 year old niece, and my 3 yr old and 16 month old grandaughters. The baby went to sleep as soon as it started. The 3 yr. old told me she wanted to leave 6 times. The ten yr old said it wasn't that great. We stayed because I wanted my moneys worth! I really didn't care for it either. I can see how the boys would love it.

That was a hugh increase in ticket price!!

I must admit, we went because I wanted to see it! I did enjoy it, it was very funny and I love the way daughter watches films: sitting on my knee for the entire film pulling my arms around her. Can't wait for Wall - e!

Well, at least you enjoyed the film, but that is a dreadful increase. How do they have the nerve? They can't complain about petrol prices, I wouldn't think! M :-)

At least they didn't frisk you at the door for imported sweets or popcorn! Is the cinema in such a bad way?

What couldn't you love about a precious child sitting on your lap and pulling your arms around them?! That right there was worth all the money you paid for the movie! Cherish those times, they grow up sooooo fast!

man that's expensive! they aren't hired for their math, in fact, i sometimes wonder what sales staff ARE hired for. certainly not their knowledge of the industry they are in! we LOVED kung fu panda. everyone take your kids and have a laugh!

Movie prices are out of this world everywhere. The only way we can afford it is to go to the first show of the day which is the only show that gets the matinee price!

Hope you liked it.
