That's My Girl

Yesterday I accompanied daughter to one of her many parties. Whilst I sat in the corner of the Scout Hut writing reports (multitasking) I suddenly realised that the children's entertainer, Lucy, was waving around a realistic looking plastic worm.

"Who would kiss this worm for some sweeties?" she asked.

Three boys and my daughter put their hands up.

Lucy chose a boy to do the deed.

He promptly chickened out.

She then chose my daughter who practically climbed over the other kids to kiss the worm and get the sweeties.

Which she did.

Should I be worried?

Good for her. I can see a bright future for that girl. She'll make mincemeat of Sir Alan Sugar! M :-0

I think maybe she has confused the kiss/frog/prince fairytale. Maybe a little more bedtime reading is necessary. After all we ladies would never be satisfied with a worm! Debs x

NO way!!! That is one cool gal!

I was always up for a dare and I turned out OK. Sorta.

By the way, if I had a window in my classroom, I would have seen a dirt field and a street (I still agree that windowless rooms should be outlawed). I'm truly envious of your view :)

It sounds revolting - but she kept her eye on the prize. I should think you are very proud of her determined, no nonsense spirit.

Oh I don't know, if it the sweetie was one of her favorites I wouldn't be too surprised. Although good for her she stepped up when the boy stepped down. She'll fill more than one power vacuum as she grows up. :)

Probably not!

Don't tell Health and Safety. They'll insist on single use disposable worms.

You should start worrying if she's still up for doing the same thing when she's 15! x
